جب فرعون نے موسی علیہ الصلوۃ والسلام کے لیے اپنے دربار میں جادوگروں کو بلایا تو وہ پورے ستر ہزار جادوگر اس نے جمع کئے اب وہ جادوگر آئے اور آ کر انہوں نے جادو کا جو کرتب دکھایا وہ کیوں سجدہ میں گر گئے موسی علیہ السلام کے مجھ کو دیکھ کر اس لیے کہ جادوگروں نے جو رسیاں پھینکی تھی وہ سانپ نہیں بنی تھی بلکہ وہ دیکھنے والوں کو نظر سانپ آرہی تھی درحقیقت وہ رسی قرآن نے کہا سحر اعیون الناس کے انہوں نے جادوگروں نے نظر بد کی تھی اور نظر کو بند کر دیتی
اور بندش کا یہ کمال تھا کہ دیکھنے والے کو صاف نظر آتی تھی جیسے آج کوئی سو روپے کا کاغذ کو سو روپے کا نوٹ بنا دیتا ہے کبوتر بغل سےنکالتے ہے انڈے سے کبوتر نکالنا یہ سب جادوں ہے جو ہے یہ کرتب دکھانے والا آپ کی نظر بندی کرتا ہے ٹائپ کرتا ہے
درحقیقت تمام چیزیں اس لیے نہیں ہوتی ہیں سحرا جو نہیں کرتے ہیں تو موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے جب اپنا عصاء زمین پرپھینکا تو وہ حقیقت میں بن گیا اصلی سانپ وہاںپرجوجادوں گرتھے وہ سارے حیران ہوگئے کہ ہماری تو کیا ہوا صحر۔جادوں ہے لیکن یہ تو درحقیقت سانپ ہے جس نے ساری رسیوں کو نگل لیا تو یہ اصل اللہ کا کوئی ولی ہے نبی ہے سحرجادو کی تربیت اس زمانے میں عروج پر ہوتی تھی
حضرت سلیمان علیہ السلام کے زمانے میں جادو اور عروج پر پہنچا اور دو فرشتے ہاروت اور ماروت زمین پر آئے اور جادو سکھاتے تھے سات کہتے تھے کہ یہ کفر ہے یہ کافر بن جاتا ہے
جادو اس کو کہتے ہیں قرآن میں بین المرء وزوجہ جس کی میاں بیوی میں تفریق ڈالنا دو خاندانوں میں نفرتیں پیدا کرنا تو گھرانوں میں نفرت پیدا کرنا تو انسانوں نے نفرت پیدا کرنا اسے جادو کہا جاتا ہے اور دنیا میں سب سے بڑا جادو ہے نفرت کو پیدا کرنا میاں بیوی میں خاندانوں میں جو

نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ جادو جو ہے یہ کفر ہے اور ساحر کافر ہو جاتا ہے اور جادو کرنے والا بھی اسلام سے خارج ہو جاتا ہے اس لیے قرآن و سنت میں جادو کا انکار نہیں ہے جادو ہوتا ہے اور نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر جادو ہوا بخاری شریف کی آیات و احادیث موجود ہیں قرآن پاک کی معلومات سورہ فلق اور ناس بھی موجود ہیں
آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر جادو ہوا صحابہ کرام پر جادو ہوا اور اسی طرح جو ہے بعد میں اللہ کے نیک بندوں پر جادو ہوا جادو کا انکار یہ بھی قرآن کا انکار ہے کہ جادو کے متعلق آیات قرآن میں ہیں لیکن جادو کا علاج جادوگر سے کرانا یہ قرآن و سنت میں جائز نہیں ہے بعض لوگ کہتے ہیں لوہا لوہے کو کاٹتا ہے تو جو جادوگر سے علاج کرا کے کٹے گا ایسا نہیں ہے جادوگر سے علاج کرا کر مزید آپ اللہ کے نافرمان ہو جائیں گے اور مزید جادو آپ کا بگڑ جائے گا خراب ہو جائے گا ہو جائے گا بلکہ اللہ کے کلام سے قرآنی آیات سے بڑے بڑے جادو اللہ کے فضل سے اللہ رب العزت نےفائدہ ہوا
صرف قرآنی آیات سے قرآن سے ہٹ کر اگر آپ جادو کا علاج کروائے کبھی نہیں ہوگا نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر جادو ہوا ہے زمانے کا جو مدینہ منورہ میں جادوگر طالب علم ناسخ سے بڑے جادوگر نے جادو کیا لیکن اللہ نے دو سورتیں معوذتین نازل کرکے بتلایا قیامت کا علاج صرف قرآن سے ہوگا وہ آخردعوانا عن الحمدللہ رب العالمین

Once again, the havoc caused by the recent rains has exposed the lack of proper disaster management in Pakistan. The monsoon rains started in Pakistan in the last week of June 2022. Since the start of the monsoon season, Pakistan has received 60% of its total average monsoon rainfall in just three weeks. Heavy rains have caused urban and flash floods, landslides, and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOF) throughout Pakistan, most notably in Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh.
Recent monsoon rains and the destruction they have left in their wake in major cities of Pakistan’s Punjab province provide a grim picture of the inability of urban settlements to cope with intense downpours in a warming world.
The television footage showed torrents of water gushing into homes, people wading in at least four feet of water, army helicopters rescuing people from rooftops, submerged arteries, and underpasses of the eastern city of Lahore, and news flashes of deaths due to roof and wall collapses or electrocution, or of being swept away by the angry waves. The civic agencies with their army of men and motorized suction pumps waged a losing battle against the vagaries of nature.
Reports of destruction caused by distant villagers marooned and of bridges connecting remote settlements and landslides are other stories altogether.

But to climate scientists like Ghulam Rasul, the deputy director general at the Pakistan Meteorological Department, weather event such as the one witnessed in Pakistan, is the beginning of the new normal in years to come. The aberration in weather patterns will be exacerbated by inadequate and poor planning and poor governance, he said.
By September 6, the death toll had crossed 100 in Punjab and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, has announced an immediate compensation of Rs 500,000 ($4,900) to the relatives of each person killed and Rs 100,000 ($980) for those injured in rain-induced incidents.
“The reason for this heavy precipitation is quite clear; it is a consequence of climate change,” Rasul told thethirdpole.net. He explained that the current “spell of rainfall persisted for a longer period than usual.”
It would have been normal and “routine” if the monsoon system coming from the Bay of Bengal, crossing India had reached the border of Sindh and moved northwards and it had rained along the way when the winds reached Punjab before reaching the foothills of the Himalayas.
Terming the current nexus a “triangular interaction,” Rasul said, “In this particular instance, the monsoonal system overstayed its journey over the plains of Punjab where the cold wind interacted with surface temperatures that were high, leading to increased heat energy. This, in turn, caused enhanced precipitation.”
Rasul warned that intense and heavy rainfall causing urban flooding is going to be a regular feature in the future.
While Naseer Memon, heading the NGO Strengthening Participatory Organisation, finds it difficult to establish a connection between such lone events to climate change, he says these events provide a reality check on the ability of urban areas to cope with flooding from intense downpours. “Improper land use, poor urban infrastructure, and haphazard/unregulated settlement are visible reasons that converted a weather event into a disaster,” he told thethirdpole.net.
Comparing the destruction and loss of life caused in cities of Punjab near the Chenab river to Islamabad, he said the federal capital also received heavy showers but no casualties were reported. The cities badly affected included Lahore (268 km from Islamabad), Gujranwala (202 km), and Sialkot (192 km).
“It indicates the difference between infrastructure and compliance with regulations,” said Memon, author of a book called Malevolent Floods of Pakistan. He added that the populated settlements in flood plains have brought miseries to communities.
Endorsing Memon, Rasul said: “We have newer settlements mushrooming everywhere but nothing is regulated and developers are not bound by building regulations. Many of the new housing development schemes have no sewage system and if they do have it, it has smaller drainage pipes which do not have the capacity to carry out stormwater.”
“If you look at our policies, including the climate policy, you will find much wisdom there, but then it remains confined to those sheaves of paper,” Rasul said, terming Pakistan “the best policy maker but the worst implementer”.
Urban planner, Farhan Anwar, author of Urban Resilience and Climate Change, a recent publication, described the “lack of research-based adaptation measures” as one of the reasons for the devastations being witnessed currently.
He said there was no “mapping of hazard zone that can locate the exposed people and assets in the projected flood zone so that a vulnerability profile can be developed there and efforts made to reduce their vulnerabilities and increase resilience.”
In addition, he said, no financial flood insurance mechanisms existed. “Often, such a calamity does not only damage their dwellings but also their means of earning and sustenance” compounding their problems, pointed out Anwar, adding that the government should initiate a flood insurance scheme based on the probability of the flooding event.
And while short-term emergency response and shelter facilities get provided in the case of a disaster, he said there was a lack of an integrated evacuation and disaster risk management plan with provisions for relevant actions embedded in the appropriate legislative and institutional frameworks.
Anwar pointed to an urgent need to “determine the potential frequency and magnitude of possible urban flooding scenarios”.
He recommended a need for the “establishment of flood plains” where the communities and assets and their vulnerability factors can be combined to produce an “index” of flood vulnerability. “This can then be plotted using census data to map vulnerability.”
In addition, said Anwar, the drainage network needs to be assessed in detail for its capacity to cater to extreme flooding scenarios. “Response measures such as the provision of better housing options, training in first aid and basic rescue drills, relocation, knowledge, and access to clearly disseminated evacuation plans, etc. need to be put in place. An increase in green and open spaces in strategically located parts of the city can also act as a defense as such spaces act as infiltration basins,” he told thethirdpole.net.

Eminent religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel appealed to the public to help the flood victims. Maulana Tariq Jameel said in his video message that the country should repent at this time, the floods have wreaked havoc on the entire country. Help accordingly. The flash floods, triggered by Monsoon rains, have devastated dozens of districts across remote areas of Pakistan.
The disaster has tragically resulted in hundreds of fatalities, and with more heavy rainfall expected to arrive, the full scale of this tragedy is not yet known.
Islamic Relief is responding to the crisis, distributing vital aid, and working with the local government to help communities recover from the disaster.

- 977km of road infrastructure and 61 bridges have been destroyed
- In Balochistan alone, over 150,000 people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance
I’ve touched down in the capital of Balochistan Province, Quetta, where it is currently 33 degrees celsius. Upon arrival, I met with the team on the ground for a security briefing and was made aware that 28 out of 35 districts in Balochistan have been severely flooded. As a result, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority has declared a state of emergency in all 28 affected districts. So far, 9 of the districts are in the most desperate need of immediate and urgent assistance.
Tragically, over 200,000 acres of agricultural land have been destroyed in the province.
To further grasp the situation on the ground, I traveled to Mian Khanzai, a hamlet of 70 homes and 500 people in the Panchpai district. The villagers reported that within four short hours, waves started to make way from the mountains towards the village, destroying all 70 homes. The ordeal was petrifying for the residents, as several children were swept away before being caught.
The majority of the hamlet’s income is from agriculture, all of which has now been destroyed. With the crops now gone there will be no source of income for the next year.
Islamic Guide of Life has provided each of the families here with cash grants to purchase basic essentials from the markets in the city. It’s evident that it will take a long time to rebuild their lives.
